私たちは、庭やガーデンを「他者」と出会う場所と捉えています。 ここでいう他者とは、人はもちろん、木や草花、風や光、虫や鳥、石や土、そして、その土地に積み重ねられた時間や物語のことです。
庭やガーデンという場を介して、それらと出会い、感じ、関わることで、自分自身を映し出し、世界とより深く結びついていく。 そうした関係性のなかに、私たちのデザインの核があります。
山越健造デザインスタジオは、伝統に学びながら、その場所と人の声に丁寧に耳を澄ませ、植物と素材と空間を通じて応答していきます。
五感をひらき、他者と出会い、風景とともに生きる。 それが、私たちの庭づくりの出発点です。
In Japan, there is a sensibility that has been nurtured through a life lived in harmony with nature.
The shigoto--the dedicated work--of those who shaped our gardens and landscapes continues to move us today, reminding us of the deep connection between people and the natural world.
We see gardens as places where we encounter the "Other." This Other includes not only people, but also trees and flowers, wind and light, insects and birds, stones and soil-- and the layers of time and stories embedded in the land itself.
Through engaging with these presences--by meeting, sensing, and interacting with them in the garden-- we come to reflect on ourselves and deepen our connection with the world. This web of relationships is at the heart of our design.
At Kenzo Yamakoshi Design Studio, we learn from tradition while listening closely to the voice of each place and its people, responding through plants, materials, and space.
To open the senses, to encounter the Other, and to live with the landscape this is where our garden-making begins.
